The Numbers Game.
The Tragically Bad News: 21 US troops have been killed in Iraq since Saturday, with 8 killed on Monday alone.
The Good News: The American people smell the coffee on Bush's un-provoked, unnecessary, largely unilateral invasion and unplanned occupation of Iraq (UULUIUOI), and they don't cotton to its bitter taste.
According to the latest CNN Poll:
BTW, speaking of numbers and as a matter of historical perspective, who can tell me how many times Bush used the word "IRAQ" in his second inaugural speech on 20-Jan-05?

Does Vigilante ever ask a question when he doesn't know the answer?
Even if this group of losers is forced out , we just end up with a new group of losers.
This group certainly is bizarre though.
The neocons and Kissinger are Bushes confidants.?
Strange brew.
Bush`s fantasy world of good and evil is becoming unhinged.
I truly don`t think Bush will finish his term if he persists in his , what could be termed mentally ill mode. He is a murderer.
He is shown very clearly now as a madman who is obsessed with lots of abstract concepts , and not in touch with reality.
What happens next.?
The ride is about to get very bumpy.
People will now take revenge on Bush for themselves being misled.
Bush has to be very nervous right now. He has been found out.
The American people may be brainwashed and sorta dumb, but even some of them are starting to catch on. Viva, A state of Denial.~!~
Thanks, Vigilante, for keeping your eye squarely on the UULUIUOI ball while many other bloggers and commentators have been distracted by the various "non-issues" of the day.
This is a good series of posts...
the Wizard.....
Supporting the president in a time of trial used to be the thing to do, without even a second thought. But what do you suppose goes on in the heads of those who still support this president? Not much of anything beyond unthinking support of whomever bears that title.
I think Bush is just about to be thrown to the lions.
He has done a lot of throwing people to the lions himself.
Turn about is fair play.?
It would be kind of cool to put him in the Docket with Saddam.
Maybe put him in a cell next to Saddam so they could commiserate.
Tough old world.
That's life.
D.B., I actually looked it up. Bush never mentioned "Iraq" once in his 2nd Inaugural.
There were 76 troopers killed in April in Iraq and 74 killed in September. I agree with Skip that Bush's "fantasy world is becoming unhinged." What is scary is that Bush himself has always been unhinged. How will this latest collapse of the very infrastructure that has supported his fantasy for so long influence his decision making?
