Contempt of Congress

Tell the tales of the two Monicas!

Put Monica Goodling on the wheel? Absolutely. If she's going parlay her diploma from Regis University to play with the big boys, she's got to take the oath before the Senate Committee(s)! Absolutely! Bimbo Monica Lewinski had to testify. Why not legal beagle Monica Goodling, the sweet little Christian pettifogger?

Elections have consequences. March madness is over and it's time for baseball. Major League Hardball! The time for Bush leaguers is over. The rhubarb is ripe. Time for a bench clearing brawl.

Goodling is starting to wake up from a LifeTime of KreepyKhristianKontempt for the Human Existence.

Seriously.

I think she's figured out that she's got something to sell & its about the ONLY thing that's gonna keep her 'yessir, no sir three bags full SIR!" academicly befuddled arse out of jail...

Why is Gonzo still on the job? He lied to Congress.

The fact that he wants to destroy our civil liberties to protect children from porn is no little matter either.

Has he never heard the expression: Don't throw the baby out with the bathwater?

Worst AG ever.

It's over for Bush. One veto away from nationwide protests, unified and peaceful, to throw him out. April 2007 is here.

Recidivist, as you read over her biography and qualifications - or lack there of, she doesn't seem to promise to be anything other than a feckless and defenseless waif before a group of Senators bent to their mandated task of surgery on this travesty of a DoJ. She is nothing, if she isn't a junior edition of Harriet Meiers. In other words, she is nowhere close to having attained experience, wisdom, or judgment qualifing one to exercise supervision or evaluation of Federal Attorneys.

As to Goodling's Christian pretensions, I don't really want to speculate on what Jesus wants her to do. All I want or expect her to do is to open up, tell the truth, the whole truth, and sing to the high heavens like the candy ass she is. Now that you got me thinking about it, I think the Good Lord wants the Bush Administration opened up to the sunlight like the salmon I'm fixing to eat for dinner tonight (not like it's going to taste nearly as good).

Goodling's role in this caper may remind us of Oliver North's secretary and lead document shredder Fawn Hall!

The difference between them? One HAD to go under oath, the other, does not...

You people are drooling. Control yourselves.

After Libby's stupid waste of time prosecution (by a guy who let a REAL Al Qaeda agent penetrate the US services) anyone moronic enough to testify in front of anyone else had better have perfect notes on every conversation. Does anyone here have such notes?

She is right to take the fifth. If congress wants her testimony so bad, give her complete immunity and then she can't take the 5th.

But what is going to be found? You all know.

INCOMPETENCE at most, as effing usual.

It appears you'd rather beat Bush et al with a stick than WORRY ABOUT THE REAL WORLD. You know, Muqtadr al Sadr, Khameini and the Hojatieh (or maybe you don;t even know that last name, eh?), Hassan Abassi (new name also ...sort of like Sayd QUtb was in 2002 to you all?), the Al Sheikh family (what you don't know who THEY are?)

If we can't beat Bush with a stick at the same time we worry about foreign commitments that Bush has levied for us, then it's obvious the latter have to be shucked as too extravagant.

Correction, vigilante. I have to disagree about Monica Lewinski being a bimbo. She is currently finishing off her Masters in Psychology at the London School of Economics.

I also saw her interviewed on an HBO special. She is highly intelligent and poised. As Donald MacLeod reported on 11/7/2005 in
the Guardian :

It is not known which options will appeal to the woman who unwillingly gave her name to the sex scandal that nearly led to the impeachment of President Clinton and was virtually imprisoned in her home by media attention. Her stained dress became the butt of smutty jokes around the world. But it is her academic ability that will have interested LSE."

The real bimbo was Linda Tripp. (I just know she's a republican) How disgraceful for betraying the trust of a young naiive girl. I feel so sorry for Lewinski: ultimately, her trust in Tripp was a lapse in judgment.

I can't figure out whether I'm corrected or busted, Stella.

The offense was obviously an indiscriminate use of the word "bimbo".

As you know, I have broad discretion to replace political appointees throughout the government, including U.S. Attorneys. And in this case, I appointed these U.S. Attorneys and they served four-year terms. ...I recognize there is significant interest in the role the White House played in the resignations of these U.S. Attorneys. ...I also want to say something to the U.S. Attorneys who resigned. I appreciate your service to the country. And while I strongly support the Attorney General's decision and am confident he acted appropriately, I regret these resignations turned into such a public spectacle.
