George Bush and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad
Which demagogue are you gonna believe?
Ours? A self-described 'war-time president' still pursuing his calling?
Ours? A self-described 'war-time president' still pursuing his calling?
Or theirs?
They know that any action against the Iranian nation would be faced with a proper response. . . highly unlikely that the American government will take such an illogical approach . . . it would be a joke I guess.I know which one I'd like to believe. But, frankly, I'm stumped.
The political power of the occupiers is collapsing rapidly. Soon, we will see a huge power vacuum in the region. Of course, we are prepared to fill the gap, with the help of neighbours and regional friends like Saudi Arabia, and with the help of the Iraqi nation.
They are trapped in the swamp of their own crimes. . . If you stay in Iraq for another 50 years nothing will improve, it will just worsen.
They rudely say prime minister Maliki and the constitution must change. Who are you? Who has given you the right?
You [America] cannot preserve your power over Iraq with a few tanks, artillery and weapons. Today, you are prisoners of your own quagmire. Today you have no choice but to accept the rights of the Iraqi people.

Me, too.
Its the royal version of 'our'
Well Vigil you have done it again. This is truly a thought provoking question. Of course I want to believe the leader of the free world and not the leader of an Islamic Theocracy. But....but....but.....
Perhaps they are both right in some ways. Who will stop the collision?
You will kill 10 of our men, and we will kill 1 of yours, and in the end it will be you who tire of it. - Ho Chi Minh
Well said M.D.,
I spoke with business man in New York this afternoon about China and their approach to business.
"The problem with America," this businessman said, "is that the stockholders only look forward as far as the next quarter. China's business leaders are genuinely in this for the long run. They don't care about the next quarter, they care about the next 25 years."
The exact same thing can be said about American Foreign Policy versus the leaders (and the terrorists) in Iraq and Iran.
We only look as far farward as September and the next military briefing......
Bush has taken it upon himself to fill a prophecy in the Book of Revelations. He believes he is on a mission from God. He cares not for the blood he spills, the lives he destroys, the countries he accuses with his lies and arrogance.
I'd like to say it's been nice meeting everyone and talking about all of the issues. I'd like to get that all out now, because this insane, money hungry idiot is going to get us all killed!
To answer your question, I'd believe anyone over Bush. We've all seen what his lies have cost. No appology, no remorse, no end.
Good Comment, Ziem.
Wizard:
Looking ahead 25 years, I'm thinking Americans have more at stake to see that that Bush & Cheney administration is not only ended, but that it is completely disavowed in its principles and precedents, and that all (virtually) of its policies rescinded. When you allude to the purveyors of terror in Iraq, I think firstly of Bush and Cheney's yes-men in the Pentagon, Congress and the media. Who else has let loose the dogs of war in Iraq? Who else presumes they can preserve their ill-gotten turf by committing the American people to maintaining an unpopular occupation in Mesopotamia for decades?
And Iran? How many countries has Iran invaded and occupied in the last 50 years? 100 years?
It will take 25 years for the U.S.A. to recover from this useless adventure:
- pay off the war debt.
- repair the lives of the physically & psychologically maimed servicemen
- re-establish U.S. adherence to Geneva Conventions.
- restore the expectancy that the U.S. will not start wars or launch unprovoked invasions.
- restore the assurance that our Constitution will be observed.
- re-establish the neutrality of the Department of Justice.
- restore USA's infrastructure.
- regain the bipartisan trust which once bound U.S. politics together.
Need I go on? There's more than enough work ahead of us for the next 25 years - domestically & internationally - which is much more critical to Americans than whether we buy oil from Shiites or Sunnis in the Middle East.
Messenger, your message is not a realistic one.
I would call it pouring from the empty into the void.
Both the Iranian and American leaders are chumps to their respective special interests.
Your laundry list of how America can improve itself is a bad joke at best.
Maybe you will be one of the ones that is still blindly demanding this and that after the system collapses. Comic really.
It is the system, not these stupid leaders at fault.
Replace them all you want with the two fake party`s.
It will make no difference.
Oh, and Messenger, get it into your noggin that Bush is only being rewarded by the system for operating in the context of the current game, of which you and others defend wrong headedly, because you do not understand the dynamic of what is going on.
