Islamofascism, Homophobia, Imperial Presidencies, Village Idiots and Theocratic Pandering
Monday morning coffee break with Andrew Sullivan, Martina Navratilova, General Wesley Clark and Bill Maher.
Sullivan's in Obama's camp, which is my camp, of course. But Sully was wrong on Bush and Iraq. Wesley Clark is right on all things except maybe the good general arguably goes off the deep end of Article II, Section I of the Constitution. And Bill Maher nominates Arnold Schwarzenegger as a redeemable Republican.
It's all too much for me.

448 days to go for the "lying sack of shit".
Then we will have to listen to the drooling hagiographers try to launch Bush into the pantheon of great Presidents.
Open mouth, insert finger down throat.
I have nothing to add, M.D. (I have my big plastic bucket beside my chair right now.)
Andrew Sullivan must have a lot of liberal intellectual friends...too bad he didn't listen to them earlier. Having listened to this I think it's important to point out that I kept hearing blame and fear of "religion." As for bin Laden; it is not religious insanity that fuels his hatred of us (say, our Christianity or even Judaism or his Islam), it's his hatred for our foreign policies; especially those that have fueled his political enemies. If we forget that important fact, then we forget our enemy and have no idea how to "fight" him. And as for George Bush; their "religious" fervor is used for very material greed--for money and power. Their respective motivations are not religious, any religious justifications they have are quite obviously hypocritically used as a facade.
