Showdown in Austin!

Clinton vs. Obama, Part XXI

Looks to me, that Hillary came with both barrels loaded and ready to run the tables. Barack was playing defense and much too conservatively.

Why for example, did he not say that he would re-establish diplomatic relations with Cuba in his first year in the White House? WTF was he thinking? Nixon went to China, didn't he? We've had an embassy in Beijing for half a century. We're going to the fooking olympics there, for crying out loud. What's the diff? Between going to Beijing and going to Havana? What is Barack thinking? Or is he thinking? He looks to me like a deer caught in the headlights. Get a fooking grip Obama!

Guess I'll watch some more. . .

Things picked up after HRC threw the first punch. He seemed comfortable after that while she seemed more "tight" for lack of a better word.

I must have been late to the game: missed the first inning. The way I scored it:

Obama left the bases loaded in the 2nd inning, failing to score (on Cuba).

Obama homered with the bases loaded in the 5th inning (on Iraqistan and Pakistan).

Three runs scored against Hillary in the bottom of the 5th when she threw that wild Xerox pitch. (On plagiarism).

Hillary hit a grand slam in the bottom of the 9th (about Democratic unity).

Final score? Game's still in extra innings.

Ironically, the Xerox pitch was meant to brush Barack back from the plate with some 'chin music'. No pitcher should pull that with the bases loaded.

We must have heard completely different things regarding what he said about Cuba.

I doubt this debate will have changed much with most demographic groups but he won big with Latinos. White men and white women seemed to hear whatever they wanted to hear depending on the preference they came in with.

I was most entertained by the gentleman from Univision who was not loving Clinton one l'il bit. He wasn't asking her questions, he was taking aim and most of it hit bullseyes.

Some pundits have analyzed The Wicked Witch of the West Wing's closing comments and say that she may not continue on the trail after March 4.
