Father's Day 2008
Also known as Tim Russert Day.
Took an extended day off. Looked at Dobies who needed rescue. Played board and card games with my sons. Watched the U.S. National team beat Barbados 8-0. Great seats! Exhausted.
But Russert's passing has effected me profoundly. I have yet to take stock. I may be restructuring my time and priorities....

I know how you feel Vigil. I know exactly how you feel. I regret that I so long took him for granted. Life is so fragile and fleeting....
Death is inevitable and close at all times. I was extremely affected by Russert's passing also. I posted the article as soon as I saw the news, and felt a profound sort of sadness.
Russert was a stooge for the Catholic church and Corporate America. Charming when he kissed the Popes ring.
He was a blind follower.
He represented fake alternative only.
Every thing dies. That is normal.
He is no exception.
Why glorify him?
