We all knew it was coming soon, but that doesn't make Kennedy's death any easier to take -- especially when other Dems are trying to block meaningful health-care reform. Senator Conrad should feel a little shame right now.
Vig, I left my comment at Mike's to avoid cross-commenting. Thank you for the pictures that comprise your post. These photos touched me deeply in a way that no words can.
Senator Kennedy, for virtually every one of his major pieces of legislation, was able to find a Republican co-sponsor. I think that that, more than anything else, speaks volumes.
Teddy was one of the good ones, with all the animated slimy crap occupying seats in Congress I'm sort of pissed at the universe/fate or whatever that he had to be taken.
Brain cancer, BB. No one deserves the pain he endured. Yet, he was there for the American people until the very end.
