We all knew it was coming soon, but that doesn't make Kennedy's death any easier to take -- especially when other Dems are trying to block meaningful health-care reform. Senator Conrad should feel a little shame right now.

Senator Kennedy, for virtually every one of his major pieces of legislation, was able to find a Republican co-sponsor. I think that that, more than anything else, speaks volumes.

Teddy was one of the good ones, with all the animated slimy crap occupying seats in Congress I'm sort of pissed at the universe/fate or whatever that he had to be taken.

Michael Dannenberg, The Ted Kennedy I knew:

...many of us also will be mourning more than a legislator, more than a champion, more than an icon. We'll mourn a man who reached out when it mattered most, who let us know we weren't alone. And we're still not.
