Re-Frame Bush's Plan for Iraq!

If he won't pull troops out while he's in the White House, we'll have to impeach (in peace ?) the war!

Here's a chance to win back your
$1,075 which you have already involuntarily contributed to Bush's un-provoked, unnecessary, largely unilateral invasion and unplanned occupation of Iraq (UULUIUOI).

Go to
Working4Change and submit your catchy slogan describing Bush's plan for Iraq -- whatever that is. It's your contribution to reframing the debate. The winner of the contest will direct a $5,000 donation from Working Assets to a nonprofit working for peace.

What's a matter with just

Cut and Run?

Once upon a time, the GOP was the cut-and-run party. Republicans promised to cut government waste and corruption and run the country properly. What happened to them on the way to absolute power, I wonder?

Bush was provoked by the thought of making money. Thats why he thought invasion was good.It wasn`t unilateral, we had lots of help. They planned on staying in Irag permanently. Just like we are in the other countries there abouts.
Why is it that sites like this think that they can throw money at a problem and solve it.?
As far as I am aware, there is not such a thing as a nonprofit working for peace. If there was such a thing they would point out the obvious, that our system of government has failed, and a new American revolution is needed. This site cracks me up with its conservative slant, mainstream, in the box, politics as usual attitude. Our system of government has failed. Why hang on to it.?

Skip Sievert sees himself as an agent provocateur, trying to evoke anti-constitutional remarks that he can run and narc to right wing blogs. He sees himself as adroit and oblique, but he's really quite transparent.

Rumsfeld's comparison of our enemies in the Middle East to fascist countries of World War II is an interesting stretch.

Real fascist governments have the following characteristics: domination of all branches of government and the economy by a political party; control of news sources via economic relationships and threats of retribution; reliance on a large military to promote national unity and expand global influence; blind obedience to the national leader, and dismissal of any international laws unless they are temporarily expedient.

Insurgents and terrorists are not Nazis. Rep. John P. Murtha (D-Pa.) is not Neville Chamberlain and Rumsfeld, most assuredly, is not Winston Churchill.

blogging for food see`s himself as an intelligent person that knows what is going on. Right wing blogs.? What part of la la land do you inhabit, Mr. Food.?
I am a member of the Technocracy movement you idiot.
We are not left or right.
We are A-Political.
Don`t dumb down the proceedings.
I hope I am transparent. Apparently not transparent enough for you to figure out that I am a creative person with ideas.
Why the bitter and demeaning tone.
I thought this blog was interested in ideas.

Iraq is not "The Lord's Work"

Connecticut Republican Rep. Christopher Shays, commenting recently on the Iraq war, stated, "The people fighting this war are doing the Lord's work." His statement is not only incorrect, it is unacceptable. Like President Bush's previous comment referring to the war as a "crusade," Shays' moronic and inflammatory words only further incite Islamic extremists and terrorists to wage jihad against America. Shays' attempt to break the separation of church and state doubles as a smoke screen to cover the myriad of lies and profiteering that got us into the disaster in Iraq. It is time for Shays and his lot to be voted out of office.

That would be fine if we lived in a Democracy that was inhabited by intelligent people. We don`t though. We do live in a corporate controlled concentration camp. If you think this is a Democracy you are wrong. Beside , Democracy is something that happened in the 5th century b.c. in Athens. It is not applicable to the fascist, corporate , money controlled society of today. Go ahead and vote you fool. Thats exactly what they want you to do. There is no political solution to the problems that face us now.

I'm on the phone with my 80 year old mother in Colorado who was up early this morning and couldn't sleep. She knows nothing about this contest (or even this blog) but on her own came up with this little poem:

"He who fights and stays the course,
Will soon find out he's made it worse."
