Moving On

The Dance of the Neo-Cons

I have a few things to say about Neo Cons second guessing themselves and each other and I do that next door. I don't expect universal agreement. To those who wish to discuss it, we can do it here or next door. To those who would rather talk smack, I say Shaddup and drink your Kool-Aide.

The great respect that I have for your leadership, Mr. President, in this little understood, unfamiliar war, the first war of the 21st century -- it is not well-known, it was not well-understood, it is complex for people to comprehend. And I know, with certainty, that over time the contributions you've made will be recorded by history.

Kinda amusing, really, so see how eager Bushie and his Repukes are begging for "bi-partisanship" and expressing a desire to "work together". Where was that spirit 4 years ago? Hell, four weeks ago, or even four days ago?

You make your bed, sooner or later you gotta lie in it. Have fun, guys. You DESERVE everything you get. Karma's a real bitch sometimes.

Here's hoping that it will not turn out to be; "our turn to kick some ass".

You have lived through some horrendous times lately when short sighted decisions, based on nothing else than on nutty dogmas and inability listen to differing opinions, were a rule and not an exception. If any lesson should be drawn out of this failed Republican rein, let it be that the time of polarization must end for the sake of the common good. Failure to do so, takes you back to square one.

Vigilante.... Good Post, as usual, but...

It's difficult to keep up two homes. I know.... I've tried. I realize you're trying to gently transition us over to the new wordsmith blog....

I say go ahead and chose one or the other... and we will find you and continue to enjoy the conversation and company without bouncing back and forth between comments.

the Wizard.....

Here, just for the purpose of conversation, are the comments I left over on your new Wordsmith blog:

Rumsfeld is now gone, along with the Republican majority that provided President Bush with insulation from effective criticism.

The tone, tenor and very nature of the Occupation of Iraq will now change. The people of Iraq are rightfully frightened. This day was bound to come.

How I wish the damage already done by the Invasion could be magically undone. It cannot.

How much more damage will now be done trying to unwind the past?

the Wizard……

Vigilante, for what it's worth, I'm no fan of moderator moderated comments. It slows, or actually stops, conversation. It's an option we also have here on Blogger, one both you and I have chosen to not use. I hope you can disable it on wordsmith, if you decide to continue to use that forum. I prefer the active give and take that resembles conversation, even if you occasionally have to go in and "clean up a mess."

Thanks - Big time for your patience and perseverence. I share your value of seeing one's words instantly on 'the wall'. I do not like moderation, either. Didn't know I had it on. Hope I got it off! Thanks, Wizard! And the substance of your comment was tops, as usual.

Y'all have to trip over to one of the most esthetically beautiful sites I've encountered on the blogosphere. Go over to the Enigmatic Paradox and click on the Folk Songs of the Far Right Wing. (Turning up your speakers, of course!)
