Polls can be terribly frustrating. It appears that they change with the wind, or should I say the hot air:-)
I'm sure Kenny Rodgers will be happy with that sentiment. I'm not sure about how scientific the polls are anymore since far too many only use cell phones these days which from what I hear the polling agencies don't call.
B. Bum, in politics as in baseball, fans/voters focus on what happens in the ninth inning, not the first. The Democrats whiffed on the credit crisis in the early years, but now they aren't at bat. It was President George W. Bush who nominated Paulson and Bernanke. If they strike out, it's the GOP that will lose the game. And McCain won't even get his at bats.
Mike, we agree. I always cite this quote when I see a poll. "You can't be blown off course by polls." This may be the only time I agree with, speaking of "hot air," a comment by Dick Cheney.
