The Tea Fire in Santa Barbara/Montecito
Invasion and mass destruction in my own 'Hood
Maintaining The Vigil on the Home Front:
70 MPH winds. Power outages. (No blogging!) No phones. Just smoke, flames and the sound of choppers. Trophy Wife blissfully and unknowingly out to an evening meeting in the fire area. Ballou totally freaked out until we could get her Pack Leader back safely. (Time for for real bonding between Man and dog!) When I went to bed last night, it was 86 degrees.
The fire's on the other side of town from us, happily. Nothing to do now, except to find out about some friends' safety, and pray the winds don't return today/tonight before containment....
